Kanye West/Lady Gaga Tour Cancelled

The ‘Fame Kills’ tour featuring Kanye West and Lady Gaga was officially cancelled yesterday. No official reason was given but you have to think it had something to do with the VMA fallout and what Kanye said on Jay Leno that he was going to take some time off. I think that it is good, he should take some time off and get his mind right that way he can make some more quality music.

The announcement was made on 1 October by the tour organisers Live Nation, with no further explanation.
West had only confirmed the full set of dates for the joint tour two weeks ago, on 15 September. The first date had been set for 10 November.

The announcement of the tour had come as a surprise in many quarters, coming only days after the rapper revealed on the Jay Leno that he planned to take time off as he had not taken the time to mourn the death of his mother in November 2007.
He said: “So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour.”
The Leno appearance was West’s first public outing in the wake of his widely criticised behaviour at the MTV Video Music Awards.
He leapt on stage during Best Female Video winner Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, saying: “Taylor, I’m really happy for you, and I’m gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” referring to Beyonce’s new track “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”.
Even US President Barack Obama became embroiled in the row, apparently being overheard calling West a ‘jackass’
The rapper later issued a personal apology to Swift over his outburst, and told Leno that: “I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause, and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period.
“But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyse how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”
Gaga defended West after his VMA appearance, saying: “He’s a good guy and everybody makes mistakes, and he feels so f—ing bad. He really does.
“I felt like that moment kind of like really portrayed him in a way that he really isn’t. It was just a random moment.”

Well, check out this video I found on YouTube of a guy trying to give Lady Gaga a rose at her concert in DC on Tuesday. It’s hilarious!
